Sensitive skin nightmare

I had a horrific experience with this mask. I have sensitive skin but figured a simple sheet mask wouldn’t hurt. I woke up the next day with a swollen itchy and red face and neck.

I bought it bc i thought it would smell good plus it has hyaluronic acid which is rlly good for my dry skin. Turns out it doesnt smell like hot chocolate. But it still smells pretty good. It did not break me out and it left my skin pretty smooth. Over all it's a pretty decent face mask.

not for people with sensitive skin to fragrances

i would definitely not recommend this if your skin is sensitive to fragrenece , my skin is extremely sensitive to scents so this made me break out terribly 😭

Mixed feelings about this mask

I was nervous and hesitant about trying this mask since I have extremely sensitive skin. I decided to use before bed and, I was pleasantly surprised with the generous amount of product and the size of the mask. I had enough product to massage the cream all over my neck and hands, that was a bonus. I left the mask on my face for about 12 minutes or so. When I first put the masked on, my face felt cooled but, with a slight tingly sensation. When I took the mask off I massaged the cream for a while before the cream absorbed into my skin, which I didn’t mind. Once the product was soaked into my skin, my face felt a bit tight and squeaky clean. I waited about 30 minutes to use my face moisturizer because I wasn’t crazy about the tightness feel. I’m not crazy about the scent, it smells very artificial and not at all like hot cocoa.

Great results but the scent needs some work

I've tried every holiday sheet mask from the Sephora Collection for the last 6+ years and this hot cocoa mask, while not perfect, is the best to date, in terms of fit, performance, results & sustainability. This is my honest and authentic opinion, as a Sephora Beauty Insider Community Ambassador. WHAT I LIKE: * Soft, thin, plant-based material (acacia-derived fiber) * Adheres well * Wears comfortably * Cream essence feels cooling on skin * Results in as little as 10 minutes * Skin feels lightly hydrated, moisturized & nourished and complexion looks brightened, refreshed & awake * Packaging is recyclable * Sheet mask is compostable AREA(S) FOR IMPROVEMENT: * Would prefer if the cocoa scent was more prominent & less artificial. At the very beginning I picked up some cocoa scent, but there's also a noticeable artificial, slightly plastic smell that thankfully dissipates. * Would love for packaging to include either a manufacture or expiration date * Packaging design is cute. Would love to see a similar print on the sheet itself FYI: * Fit is nice for those with a longer forehead. Width is slightly wider than standard sheet mask. Openings for eyes & mouth will work well for most face sizes and shapes. * The mask claims to nourish and soothe. I can say that the mask was nourishing. My skin wasn't irritated when I used the mask so I'm not in a position to speak to its soothing properties. * Would like to see the star ingredient of the mask (cocoa seed extract) higher up on the ingredients list (i.e., in more volume or concentration in the sheet mask) - it's very near the bottom of the list. * There's a slight tack to the touch after removing the mask & pressing the serum into the skin to help with its absorption, but it completely dissipates once the serum is fully absorbed or after following up with moisturizer. * Vegan * Makes an excellent stock stuffer or holiday gift BUY, BUY, BUY or BYE-BYE?: * Setting aside the scent, this is a wonderful mask * BUY, BUY, BUY

smells like playdoh!

do not recommend, it smells nothing like hot cocoa, smells like an artifical playdohy smell. glad the lip mask in the same scent sold out before I bought it

Smells bad

It is on my face right now and it is definitely not hot cocoa scented. They could’ve at least made it vanilla scented but no it just smells disgusting, cant wait to take it off. Stick to the fruity sheet masks.

Does not smell like Hot Cocoa but it smells more like White Chocolate.But it smells amazing and it’s moisturizing.

Great Prepping Holiday Mask

Nice holiday scent! Cloth mask fits very well when applied to face and with this mask you will have an exorbitant amount of serum upon unfolding but no dripping. Smells good throughout the 10minute wait time and the scent lingers on afterwards. Only thing is, after removing the cloth, I had to rub the serum-white film into my skin for awhile as it was being stubborn to get my face clear. But overall left me without no buildup and would buy again!
