Love the smell of this on my hair. I’m always excited to wash my hair just to put this oil.

Not for my hair

Smells great! Leaves my hair feeling a bit greasy even with a very small application! Not my favourite, maybe just isn’t right for my hair type!

A bit heavy

It’s very thick - I wouldn’t describe it as lightweight. If you have thin hair, it may weigh it down. My hair is very thick and one pump is more than enough for me! I use it only on my ends to help nourish the dryness. I prefer a lighter oil/serum like Olaplex to seal in my hairstyle.

Didn't quite work for me

When I opened this, some had leaked out of the cap and saturated the interior of the box. The oil itself is thicker and feels like honey (there was another review saying this, and they're correct). The smell is nice and it didn't make my hair greasy, but my ends still felt dry and it did nothing for frizz after it soaked in. Not worth the price point. For reference, I have medium-thick curly/wavy hair with a finer texture.

i LOVE THE SCENT of this oil and it does wonders on dry brittle hair. I use it every time I wash my hair before blow drying and the scent lasts all. day. long. like my pillow smells like it. it’s perfect — the one downside is it a bit wet/thick and feels heavy on dry hair

This hair oil made my hair smell so good! Afterwards my hair was pretty shiny, but this product did make my hair really greasy

Essential for the curly hair girlies

This is the one and only hair oil that had truly turned my hair around. I chopped my ends, fried from years of heat and colour damage, and started applying this oil religiously. Every night before bed onto my ends, and a couple drops when I get out of the shower after washing my hair. My ends are soft, shiny, and unbroken. My frizzies are tamed. My hair smells divine. It is a thick oil and it does take a bit of getting used to. I like to add a drop or two of olaplex 7 to it when my hair is damp and that helps give me a bit of light moisture to hair closer to my roots. Toward the ends I just use pure Sol. Goes without saying you should pair this with a silk/satin bonnet for max potency. The bottle dispenser is not ideal. It does go down the glass bottle and that’s annoying. I wish it was more like the pump that comes with the bum bum oil. I will buy this until I am physically unable to do so. This is the greatest hair oil my curly haired self has ever used.

It makes your hair really greasy no matter how much you put, and it’s really thick, BUT it has a great scent and it makes your hair really soft

SMELLS AMAZING

I love this Sol De Janeiro scent! This oil is VERY thick. I can only use it on my ends when my hair is curly. Sometimes I use extra as a pre-wash oil on my ends. The ONLY con I have is if I accidentally get it on my face it breaks me out like crazy so I have to be very careful with that.

Yes Yes and Yes!

I love this product on my kinky hair, this serves as a nice finishing oil to add shine and seal in moisture. The scent of course is divine! I don't find it heavy at all.... rather light, and suitable for daily use!

It smell nice but very greasy even with a little on my hair. Not worth the price.

One pump leaves the hair greasy

I should’ve read the reviews before getting it. The only good thing is the smell. The oil is too thick. Leaves the hair very greasy . I really don’t recommend it.
