It works on platinum colored hair

I'm on my second bottle and I do notice a big difference if I don't use the purple hair oil for a bit. When I start using it again I find my platinum color hair just seems brighter and less dull. I use it every other day after I wish my hair. I have fair hair and the oil doesn't weigh it down it just looks and feels lovely after I've blow dried it. the purple oil doesn't have the same islandy smell as the regular so I do go back and forth since I love that original Moroccanoil smell.

Absolutely Love!

I absolutely love this product! I have used the original and the light versions of Moroccanoil in the past - I always have a bottle on hand, but when I get fresh highlights I purchase a "clear" oil from another brand beause of the extreme amber color of the other Moooccanoil products. I picked up this Moroccanoil Purple version as soon as I saw it available at my local Sephora and it is fantastic. I love the smell and the oil is a perfect hue of purple to place direcly on my dry highlighted hair with no worries of it turning brassy. If you love the OG but your hair is blonde or grey, pick this up, you will not be disappointed!

Obsessed. My hair grabs brassiness so quickly so I used to find that Moroccan oil tinted my hair eventually leading me to other brands. But I’ve always loved the formula & of course THE SMELL. I was super excited to try this but afraid my hair would tint purple bc that happens sometimes when I use purple shampoos. It’s the perfect toning and hydration formula. So so happy.

Amazing for keeping that blonde color :)

I have been using the OG product for years, but decided to try this, as my hair always pulls yellow over time (it’s naturally super dark)! I will say it does an amazing job at keep my blonde super cool especially on freshly died hair! That was a problem for me before and even with other hair oils like the Olaplex one..made it yellow faster. Don’t expect it to make it more blonde or truly tone your hair, but it does an amazing job at preventing the yellow. Very slightly less, long-term hydration than the OG product though! Overall, I would recommend for the blonde girls that want to maintain that color! :)

LOVE!! Bought it after getting my hair bleached & it helped me with moisture and softness. I can use it mutiple times a day, for days on end and my hair is never greasy or weighed down!

Absolute favorite

Absolute favorite! I love how soft, shiny, and hydrated my hair stays for two days straight, plus it does not kill the curls or adding weight. My biggest problem was to keep the icy/cool white and I feel like the oil does its job

Great for fake blondes

This oil is so cool! With gradual use I’ve felt like my hair looks brighter blonde!! It smells nice and it makes my hair look healthy and fresh. I have no complaints. A little goes a long way. Definitely recommend!

Silicone, silicone and more silicone

Love argan oil for my hair but like the rest of Morrocan oil’s products this contains a pile of silicone and fragrance. This could have been great but the fragrance and high silicone content that is added to eliminate frizz seals the hair shaft preventing moisture from getting in. Over time the fragrance and silicone will dry out and damage your hair. At that point you think that Morrocan oil is the only thing that makes your hair feel nice so you add more and continue to damage your hair. Great from a marketing perspective but not worth it to me. Use a good clarifying shampoo after this! It is not good for hair at all, rather it’s a styling product.

My results were not phenomenal

I tried this because I like the fragrance of the Moroccan Oil Shampoo. My results were mediocre. It might work better for someone else, though, as I don’t seem to see a huge benefit from using purple tinted products on my gray hair. To the person who is iffended—it’s about HAIR color, NOT skin color. Plenty of women of color have blonde, white and gray hair. The purple tint is meant to temove yellow, orange and brasdy tones.
