Vernis à Lèvres Glossy - Lip Stain

Pretty but tingles and smells...

The color is pretty and looks great on but is it suppose to tingle and have an unusual smell of alcohol?

I bought this product in three shades when there was a special going on. Even though I bought bright colours, I find this formulation to be quite natural and not overwhelmingly bright. I wear it more as an everyday lipstick then a special event one. I find it doesn’t have an intense staying power compared to other lipsticks, and find it a little pricey for more of an everyday lippie.

This is my favorite go-to lip color. I'm working on my fourth reorder. Color stays on with a nice sheen.

Favorite lip stain

Very lightweight and moisturizing. Good color payoff and average lasting power. But at least it doesn't leave a ring around lips as it wears off.

Worth it

It hurts me to spend this much on a small lip gloss but it’s what I’ve always wished I could find. It’s glossy but not sticky and lasts for hours. I have the shade 105. Only complaint is that I got a sample, but when I ordered the same shade online it was a different colour. I exchanged it in store and it was the right shade. Must have been an off batch or mislabeled. Amazing product.

Best lip gloss/stain

I super love this product it leaves a stain afterwards which looks very natural. The formula is really good it's not sticky and it smells good

The color was beautiful, the packaging is beautiful and I even like the scent, but I ended up having to return this. It dried my lips out so badly that they were cracking after just a few hours of wear. :(

ALL-TIME Favorite Stain

If you love a glossy lip, and if you love a stain that actually stays on your lips - THIS IS IT! I was quite skeptical of the YSL stain, but after reading the reviews, I decided to give it a shot, and I am so glad I did. This stain lasts for hours; through multiple drinks, conversations, and even eating. Before I wash my face, I always have to take the time to remove the stain b/c it's just that long-lasting. If you are a fan of a true red, Rouge Laque is FANTASTIC! I have been wearing it all season long, and hope to never be without it. One note worth repeating is to apply and then take 30-60 seconds to let it set (i.e. don't press your lips together). Bottom line, I'm obsessed!!!

Smells like paint...not a fan

I dont know if mine is old but it came smelling like faint paint smell. The inside looks like its separating really badly ... i tried it on and the sparkles look weird. I thought it would be like a nice glossy matte nude but its not. Its a seperating mess with some chunky glitter mixed into the batch. Overall I am super disappointed and will be returning it. Its weird also because the picture the color looks matte but its not !!

UGH the smell

I am returning based on two things - the smell. it is such a strong chemical smell, two - the color.... for a nude pink 106, this looks more orange on me. going back.

stay all day

I wore this for my wedding through everything it stayed amazing and even still had some on at the end of the night. This stuff is great!!!

Wish I could give it 10 stars! I’ve never been a fan of gloss bc it transfers on to everything. This really isn’t so bad after it sets for a few minutes. The shine and the color last forever for a gloss. I’m poor and have no business spending this much on lip gloss but I love it that much. Oh, and the scent!!! Smells subtly of roses. Devine!
